Meet our Staff


Rhonda Lawson, MSN—Nurse Practictioner

Rhonda is an accomplished Nurse Practitioner from the Southeastern Kentucky area. She received her MSN from EKU, and has worked in Barbourville and Williamsburg. Rhonda has a strong interest in Women’s health and Family Practice for all age groups. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwifes, and personally enjoys photography, hiking, and spending time with her pets.

Debbie Curtis, Receptionist

Debbie Curtis has attended both business and technical schools in order to receive her training in computer technology and Administrative Assistantship. She is gifted at welcoming our patients and greeting everyone with a cheerful smile. When not at work, she enjoys sewing, interacting with her church family, and reading the occasional good book.

Jo Broyles, PTA

Jo has received her Associate of Applied Science through Roane State Community College. She has eleven years experience in Acute Therapy, Sub-Acute Therapy, and Rehabilitation Therapy. Along with being an avid reader and gardener, she is interested in learning more about Neurological Rehabilitation.

Kimberly Canada

Along with Kim’s Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Somerset Community College, Kim has eighteen years experience in settings that include acute care, extended care, home health, and schools. She is particularly interested in Pediatrics and rehabilitation. She enjoys camping and horseback riding with her family and friends, and loves to garden during growing season.

Michele R Hatfield

Michele is an experienced Medical Office Assistant, with 13 years at Williamsburg Occupational Health and Rehabilitation. She is a Certified Professional Collector for the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry. She has also worked with Dr. Charles Wilkens, Britthaven Nursing Home and Jellico Community Hospital. Michele enjoys spending time with her family, writing and listening to music and cooking and baking. Michele is a key component in the wonderful meals you will often smell cooking in the Occupational Health office!

Brandon Hodge

Brandon is a graduate of Whitley County High School, and has been working with us at the clinic for several months. He is employed as a STAND technician. He travels throughout the county and surrounding areas performing drug screens for our local schools. Brandon enjoys sports and is very musically inclined. He plays guitar, piano, and drums…he is also a very talented pool player.

Laurel Killion, Volunteer

Laurel is our office volunteer, and a very valuable asset to our clinic. With an Associates Degree of Nursing, Laurel’s education makes her a very talented volunteer. When she is not volunteering her time helping others, Laurel enjoys working on her cross stitching skills.

Cynthia Shelley, PT

Cynthia has fourteen combined years of experience working in Physical Therapy. She has worked with Whitley County and Corbin City school systems, Jellico Community Hospital, and Industrial Rehabilitation. In addition to her Masters in Physical Therapy, she holds membership in both the Kentucky and Tennessee Physical Therapy Associations, and has a strong interest in pediatric physical therapy, and orthopedic physical therapy. She loves spending time outdoors with her family, camping, and water activities, along with volunteering at her church.

Sonia N. Young, PT

Sonia holds a Bachelor’s of Health Sciences and Physical Therapy at the University of Louisville. Sonia has ten years of experience in various healthcare settings including outpatient, inpatient, rehab and First Steps early intervention. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and church. She also loves creative activities such as scrap booking, quilting and traveling.

Rita Marie Neely, PT

Rita holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, with an impressive thirty four years in Outpatient Facilities, acute trauma hospitals, nursing homes, home health, rehabilitation units and several other areas. She is specifically interested in Wound Care, Orthopedics and Spine Care, Stroke Neurological Therapy and Women’s Health. She is a member of the Kentucky, Tennessee, and Arizona Physical Therapy Association. She enjoys Gardening, Walking and conditioning.

Barbara Canada, OTR/L

Barb is a fun-loving, sparking personality who has several years experience in Geriatrics, Healthcare Therapy Services, Pediatrics, and Occupational Therapy. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Therapy and is a member of the Kentucky Occupational Therapy Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association. Barb loves Reading, nature, swimming, gardening, cooking, and interacting with anyone she meets. Barb is truly gifted in making everyone feel like family, and providing her patients with as much comfort as possible during their rehabilitation.

Missy Lawson, LPN

Missy is currently an LPN attending school to further her education. She has been a hospital staff nurse on the Telemetry floor for ten years. She has worked in Psychological and Chemical dependency for one year, and occupational health for five and a half years. Missy is DATIA Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association certified, and is a Breath Alcohol Technician. Missy is interested in learning more about telemetry, occupational health, pediatrics and public health. She loves to go to church and sponsors the First Priority Christian youth club. Missy plays piano and enjoys spending time with her family four wheeling.
